Bid Coordinator/Assistant to Estimating Department:

Scheibel Construction is currently seeking a Bid Coordinator/Assistant to the Estimating Department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Estimating Department with daily operations and document management
  • 2 years of experience with a commercial contractor or equivalent educational training required
  • Prepare bid papers and documentation
  • Experience meeting hard deadlines
  • Strong reading comprehension skills required
  • Printing/handling of large bid documents such as full size drawings/plans (physical ability to perform these functions required). OCE equipment experience preferred
  • Upload drawings and contract documents to online bid software, prepare bid invitations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills required
  • Motivated individual with strong organizational and communication skills required
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment required
  • This is a full time in office position, not remote
  • Salary is commensurate with experience

Assistant Superintendent:

Scheibel Construction, is currently looking for an Assistant Superintendent to join our team.  This is a mid-level position with excellent growth opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the site superintendent with daily operations and document management
  • Daily Communication with supervisors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, owners
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer skills
  • Organize project records including submittals, RFI’s, As-Builts
  • Enforce Safety and Quality Control
  • 2 years of experience with a commercial contractor or equivalent educational training
  • Working knowledge of jobsite safety regulations (OSHA)
  • Motivated individual with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Compensation package will be commensurate with experience

Assistant Project Manager:

Scheibel Construction is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager with LEED experience to join our team.  This position is located at our headquarters in Huntingtown, MD.  This is a mid-level position with excellent growth opportunities.

  • Must be familiar with LEED
  • Reports directly to a project manager and assists with the following tasks:
  • Subcontractor negotiations and management
  • Development and maintenance of project schedules
  • Process Submittals and RFI
  • Track design and scope changes
  • Daily Communication with supervisors, superintendents, subcontractors, architects, engineers, owners.
  • Organization of project records and closeout documentation
  • Material procurement and coordination of deliveries
  • Preparation of monthly reports
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s degree (Construction Management preferred)
  • 1-2 years commercial construction experience preferred, but willing to train the right individual
  • Motivated self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Compensation package will be commensurate with experience
